Rufio is a young Golden Retriever whose interests include stealing shoes, chasing squirrels, and slobbering on humans. Luckily, there is no shortage of humans to kiss in the bustling downtown where he is based. His mom enjoys chronicling his various adventures and misadventures for his 200,000 Instagram fans. He's that hip, cool urban pup who strolls through the shopping district, pops into a restaurant for a sip of wine, and poses for tourists at the park. Rufio is the hottest dog in Chicago - he’s been featured in ABC News, The Dodo, Good Morning America, The Telegraph, and TimeOut Chicago. He gets recognized on the street, but he doesn't let that get to his head! The more people to greet, the merrier!
Rufio is a Certified Therapy Dog. With over 100 visits under his belt, he is proud to have earned the AKC Therapy Dog Advanced title. He provides moral support to patients and healthcare workers at the hospital, and he’s also appointed himself Official Greeter at the senior living community. Whether he’s giving kisses or wagging his tail, Rufio loves to brighten your day!
